DON’T BLINK…….
Well, the holidays will be here before you know it. Halloween is right around the corner. Decorations are sparkling in the sun. Monsters and ghosts are certainly doing their part. Scary figures lurking in the night. Children can’t wait until that night when they can dress in their favorite costume, candy bag in hand and go knocking at doors. Anticipating the surprise. Trick OR treat? Then, the holidays begin. Thanksgiving. A special day. Family and friends. Thankful for what you have. Family who mean so much. Grateful for the friends that you have. And then looking at the dining room table so full of Thanksgiving goodies you wonder where do I start and then thinking to yourself WHY? You eat and eat and eat until there is not a spec of room for even a crumb. Full? That would be an understatement. But, all in all, a day to be thankful for who and what you have in your life. Ready for Christmas? Now for me that’s the holiday. I love Christmas. Actually obsessed with the holiday. Fresh tree. It’s mandatory. It’s law! No make believe for me. 7 to 8 foot with every decoration I have sitting, resting on every branch. And it seems that each year I buy more. I love a tree that is full, magical, tells a story, makes you want to say, wow. I look forward to the challenge of finding just the right gifts for everyone. It’s so much fun for me. Wrapping in the most unconventional, un-Christmas wrap. Hoping to put smiles, if not laughter, in their hearts when opening their gifts. It’s a great feeling to make someone happy. Christmas morning is that special time for me. Family brightens your home. We eat, laugh, open gifts, tell stories. The important part of Christmas morning is the time spent with the ones you love. Enjoy that time. Treasure every moment. Grateful for the one’s in your life. Don’t take it for granted. Hold it in your heart for loving memories…time is precious…….don’t blink.
Until the next timeā¦..may your days be bright with laughter and filled with an abundance of love.
