FAMILY
At a certain time in your life you become aware of family. The different personalities, mannerisms, just who these people are. If you’re lucky you have a wonderful family. One who is always there; fun at holidays; love to go visit at their house; enjoy dinners. It’s called love. There are such families that would never hurt you, would be the first ones at the door if you needed them, never question anything that you do and NEVER offer advice. Just love you.. Wow wouldn’t it be nice if we all could say “this is my family”? Not all of us are that lucky. You may have a parent who is “partial” to one child. That’s where all of the attention and love goes. And as you get older that “attention” is still there only compounded by age, environment, extended family, and so on and so on… No matter what you do you will never hear, I love you or I’m so proud of you or good job or ANYTHING. And as the days come faster you are very much aware that that one parent and that one child are almost inseparable. Coffee, lunch, shopping, friends, dinners do not include you. At a certain point in your life, just like in the beginning, you become more aware of that bond. And then you realize that no matter what you do, what you have accomplished, what a great family YOU have…..it is never going to be good enough because the “other” child has and done it all. You can love your parents and your sisters and brothers, that does not mean they will love you back. Sometime the harder you try the more distant they become. And this truly is LIFE.
