THE END OF A MOTHER’S LOVE
Most children have the warmth of a mother and father. They know it’s a safe place. When one gets hurt, sick or just a problem they are always there. Through the years that safety net continues to surround you until the father is gone. A child always loves their Mother…..no matter what. Now, the child must comfort the mother. Then, as the years go by, a confused time happens. Mother is upset with the child. The issue is confusing. What happened? Why? No real reason. This is a 3 year period of silence. A long time passes. The child is still confused but send gifts, cards, plants, food, beautiful wreaths for the front door at Christmas, baking her mother’s favorite cookies. A thank you phone call but never an invitation to come to the house. Always, loves the gifts and the cards. Always her favorite. Then the end of the day is here. There is no longer a breath, a favorite of any kind. The mother has been laid to rest. When the will is read, the child learns that long ago came the end of a mother’s love……..
